The Irish coastline is of significant environmental, economic, cultural, and recreational importance.  This year’s Clean Coasts Symposium aims to address these elements by bringing together key stakeholders to discuss coastal protection in relation to eco–tourism and well-being. The event will include talks on tourism, biodiversity, marine litter, coastal erosion, and the positive effect volunteering and recreational activities can have on coastal communities’ wellbeing.

Ireland’s Ocean Heroes will also be recognised at the symposium with 7 awards being presented to Clean Coasts groups and individuals for their extraordinary efforts in protecting our oceans.
