SUMMARY:Clean Coasts Roadshow in Waterville\, Kerry
DESCRIPTION:Clean Coasts are delighted to host a Clean Coasts Marine Seminar Roadshow in Waterville. The Roadshow which is also running in a number of locations nationwide aims to bring together all those with an interest in protecting their local beaches\, seas and marine life. \nThe event will take place on Saturday March 14th 2pm – 4pm at the Adult Education Centre in Waterville. \nLight refreshments will be served. \nIt will include talks from local Clean Coasts groups and discussions on the coastal environment. A sample of some of the speakers / presentations / demonstrations: \n\nSusan Vickers – Clean Coasts\nHeidi Acampora – a PhD student at the Marine and Freshwater Research Centre\, in GMIT\, Galway. Her research is based on the ingestion of plastics by seabirds.\nLucy Hunt – Irish Whale & Dolphin Group\nKerry County Council\nTralee Bay Wetlands Centre\nSeaweed Demonstration\n\nPlease RSVP to Susan Vickers at svickers@eeu.antaisce.org
