DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Ireland’s spectacular coastline by getting involved in Coca-Cola Clean Coasts Week 2015. The week runs from May 6th – 15th May and there are many ways for you to get involved. See the Coca-Cola Clean Coasts week page for more details. \nThe Clean Coasts team will be attending as many beach cleans in their region as possible as well as organising Coastal Celebration events for local coastal communities. \nWe have all seen the evidence of marine litter along our coastline so for all you beach lovers out there here’s an opportunity to do something positive to combat the problem and also raise awareness about the issue. Why not create your own beach clean event or participate in one. Every piece of litter removed from the coast is a piece of litter that won’t pollute our oceans or harm wildlife.

DESCRIPTION:Clean Coasts are delighted to host a Clean Coasts Marine Seminar Roadshow in Clonakilty. The Roadshow which is also running in a number of locations nationwide aims to bring together all those with an interest in protecting their local beaches\, seas and marine life. \nThe event will include talks from local Clean Coasts groups and discussions on the coastal environment. SUMMARY:Marram Grass Planting - Maharees
DESCRIPTION:Clean Coasts Officer for Kerry\, Susan\, will be leading a marram grass planting session with our Clean Coasts Group in Maharess. It’s to target an area of dune erosion that was more hit by the storms in early February.  It’s also to highlight erosion in the area\, to show people one of the ways to deal with it and to prevent people from using this particular area as a walk through in order to protect the dune ecosystem. \nFor more information on marram grass planting as a natural coastal defence see our practical guide here.
