DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be holding the Clean Coasts Symposium & Ocean Hero Awards on 1st December in The Westin Hotel Dublin. \nThe presence of marine litter in our oceans is a global concern that requires action.  Adequate measures are needed to address the impacts of litter in the marine environment both at sea and on land whereby public awareness and community action plays a vital role. The Clean Coasts Symposium will bring together key stakeholders in the area of marine litter such as coastal communities\, NGOs\, tourism bodies\, the science community\, business and the fishing industry.  \nClean Coasts will be celebrating the 10th year of the annual Ocean Hero Awards at the event. The conference will include sessions of talks on “Education for Sustainable Development” and “Conservation & Research” as well as parallel workshops on communication and engagement\, access to funding and research networking.

DESCRIPTION:There will be a Clean Coasts display at Zeminar on Tuesday 11th October to highlight the work we do to protect Ireland’s beaches\, seas and marine life and how everyone can get involved. You will also have the opportunity to talk with members of the Clean Coasts team for further information. \nZeminar is a new social enterprise created to bring all those invested in the development and well-being of young people in Ireland to one place. Zeminar is an event for Generation Z\, particularly those aged between 15 and 20\, and their parents\, teachers\, mentors and coaches. Zeminar is facilitating the introduction of young people to some of the best and most innovative organisations on this island. Throughout the event there will be workshops\, influential speakers\, essential resources and fun activities. Attendees will leave the event with new knowledge to help them live happier\, safer\, and more fulfilling lives.
