DESCRIPTION:Big Beach Clean 2021 – Greystones Beach\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nThis year’s Greystones Big Beach Clean 2021 will take place on Saturday\, the 18th of September from 10:00am-11:30am. \n  \nThe Big Beach Clean is a Clean Coasts initiative as part of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC)\, operated internationally by Ocean Conservancy. This call to action takes place in September and invites communities and volunteers around the country to remove litter from around the Irish coast after the end of the bathing season. \n  \nDuring the Big Beach Clean\, Clean Coasts volunteers are asked to carry out marine litter surveys to quantify the amount and types of litter on Irish beaches. These surveys are aimed at heightening awareness about the issue of marine litter and serve as an indicator of the magnitude of the problem. \n  \nThis event is also taking place over the same weekend as World Clean Up Day\, which unites more than 20 million people in 180 countries\, who come together to tackle litter. \n  \nPlaces are limited so register while you can. \n  \n*Please ensure to wear suitable clothing\, footwear and protection required for the weather: e.g.\, warm clothes\, waterproofs\, and sun cream. DESCRIPTION:As part of the Dublin Community Clean-up event and World Clean Up Day\, the South Inner City Community Development Association (SICCDA) in conjunction with Clean Coasts is delighted to be hosting The Big Liberties Clean-up. The event will take place in multiple locations across The Liberties on the 18th of September. It will start at 11 am and finish at 1 pm.\n \nPost the clean-up we are welcoming all the participants to join us for some refreshments.\nDue to the public health restrictions places are limited and you must register via Eventbrite on the respective dates. DESCRIPTION:Winners will be announced on 12th November at 6pm on our Facebook and YouTube channel\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year we celebrate the 12th year of Clean Coasts’ annual Love Your Coast photography competition. Amateur photographers were invited to capture the uniqueness of our coastal communities\, environments\, or waterways and enter their best shots over the past couple of months. \nWith some of the most spectacular coastlines in the world\, we asked you to make sure you bring your camera as you explore the Irish coast this summer and capture its beauty. There is a prize fund of €5\,000\, up for grabs across five categories: Coastal Heritage\, Coastal Landscape\, People & the Coast\, Wildlife & the Coast and finally we are delighted to introduce our new category Creativity and the Coast.
