DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be holding the Clean Coasts Symposium & Ocean Hero Awards on 1st December in The Westin Hotel Dublin. \nThe presence of marine litter in our oceans is a global concern that requires action.  Adequate measures are needed to address the impacts of litter in the marine environment both at sea and on land whereby public awareness and community action plays a vital role. The Clean Coasts Symposium will bring together key stakeholders in the area of marine litter such as coastal communities\, NGOs\, tourism bodies\, the science community\, business and the fishing industry.  \nClean Coasts will be celebrating the 10th year of the annual Ocean Hero Awards at the event. This sand trapping grass can not only help dune systems maintain their positions but reduce blowouts and consolidate areas of loose sands. DESCRIPTION:The Roadshow which is also running in a number of locations nationwide aims to bring together all those with an interest in protecting their local beaches\, seas and marine life. \nA Wicklow Stop will be at Martello Hotel on Strand Road\, Bray on Saturday 4th March from 1:30pm \nClean Coasts  and Bray Coastcare Group are coming together for this 10 year anniversary appreciation event. \nAgenda \nThere will be 8 stalls with information and a representative from each group from 1.30-2.15pm. \nAt 2.15pm there will be short presentations from each group. \nThere will be a special VIP guest of honour in attendance. \nParticipating groups are: \n\nBray Coastcare Group\nBray Tidy Towns\nBray Sea Life Centre\nWicklow County Council\nCommon Ground\nMarine Dimensions\nAn Taisce’s Clean Coasts.\n\nPlease RSVP by emailing Aidan at agray@eeu.antaisce.org \nComplimentary finger food and tea/coffee provided by the Duggan family and the Martello Bar and Hotel.
