DESCRIPTION:Donegal Co. Co. will be holding a marram grass planting course at dune areas badly affected by erosion at Carrickfinn beach in association with Clean Coasts. Clean Coasts Officer for Donegal\, Beckey-Finn will be on hand to guide and support those attending.  \nEveryone who is able for some hard work or interested in dune erosion and marram grass planting is welcome to take part. \nMore information: \nMarram Grass\, Ammophila arenaria\, is the major dune building plant in Ireland. This sand trapping grass can not only help dune systems maintain their positions but reduce blowouts and consolidate areas of loose sands.
