DESCRIPTION:The Clean Coasts Roadshow is a series of talks and workshops taking place all along the coast of Ireland. \nAs part of the Wexford Clean Coasts Roadshow we are linking up with Hook Lighthouse Imbolc Festival taking place this weekend to mark the beginning of Spring in the beautiful location of Hook Lighthouse\, Co Wexford.\nAnnie Byrne Clean Coast Officer for Wexford will be speaking on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm on the impacts of plastic on the marine environment.\nThe Hook Lighthouse Eco Sheriff will host a talk on Sustainability and recycling and share insights at the Hook Lighthouse Eco-Education Station. Weekend visitors to the lighthouse can enjoy local foods\, art workshops and St Bridget Cross making.

A short interactive workshop will be done with those attending from local communities in west Clare (Doonbeg – Doughmore – Spanish Point – Lahinch) to identify the short- and long-term problems in the region and to look at possible local solutions. \nMartha Farrell from Maharees Conservation Association will speak about coastal erosion issues in the Maharees\, West Kerry and the actions taken by the local community there to mitigate these issues. \nThis event is in conjunction with Wild About Milltown Malbay.

DESCRIPTION:On Friday 28th and Saturday 29th February 2020\, Other Voices Festival returns once again to the gorgeous town of Ballina\, Co. Mayo. The 225-year-old walls of St. Michael’s Church in the heart of the town\, will come alive with two very special nights of incredible music performances from both Irish and International artists while being recorded for TV in front of a live audience. \nKicking off the second year of Other Voices in Ballina\, we are thrilled to announce our first four acts to perform in St. Michael’s Church.
