Sand dunes act as natural buffers to the forces of the ocean and are worth protecting. They are one of our natural coastal defence mechanisms and protect the land behind the dune area whether agricultural or housing areas. They are also an important habitat for coastal flora and fauna.

A marram grass planting session will take place in Fenit Island from 4:30pm to 8pm and all gloves and materials will be provided.
