Marine Water Body Habitat: Open Marine Water

Open Marine Water relates to the waters found along our coastline, around islands and further out to sea that is surrounded by less than 50%  land. This habitat relates to the body of water itself and not to the seabed below which is found under the sub-littoral habitat category.
The species found range from tiny, microscopic organisms right up to the largest mammal on earth, the elusive Blue Whale.
