Naomi Rose

Ivan is from Wexford and he is a long term member and Chairman of Wexford Sub Aqua Club. Ivan won the title of Clean Coasts Photographer of Year for the Love Your Coasts 2020 competition, as well as 1st place in the Wildlife & the Coast category and 3rd place in the People & the Coast category, with two stunning underwater shots. In fact, it was Ivan who suggested Clean Coasts do an underwater category in the Love Your Coast competition, which was taken up some years ago. Ivan has also been one of a few people as a regular nomination for Clean Coasts ‘Ocean Heroes’. Wexford Sub Aqua Club were nominated in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and won Initiative of the Year in 2011, and Group of the Year award in 2014.

Naomi currently lives in Australia, but comes from Ireland and trained up as a scuba diver in Cork with UCC Sub Aqua Club, and held positions like Captain and Dive Officer during her years with the club. Inspired with underwater photography and encouraged by Ivan and others, Noami pursued this as a passion. A childhood experience of the rich biodiversity of Australia’s coastline led to her return as an adult where she landed a job as photographer in the World Heritage Site of the Ningaloo Coast. She progressed to setting up her own photography business and offers a range of services. Her underwater photos capture such amazing marine scenes, it is no surprise that she has a string of awards, including the esteemed ND Nature photographer of the year 2020.
