Jim Kennedy from Co. Cork is pretty much as high as it gets with sea kayaking, a level 5 instructor in Ireland and the UK. Jim competed with the Irish National Kayaking team at two sprint and two marathon world championships and has been Irish and British national sprint and marathon kayak champion at both 500 and 10,000m. He also won the International Devizes to Westminster 200km non-stop Kayaking marathon, as well as Irish Rowing Championship over 2,000m. Jim leads tours and contributes to sea kayaking symposia around the world and runs an eco-friendly philosophy with Atlantic Sea Kayaking company in the west of Ireland.

David Horkan from Co. Mayo is a professional kayaker and one of Ireland’s top paddlers. David has kayaked in locations all over the world, such as Chile, Canada, USA, Australia, Antarctica, most of Europe and speaks tonight from South Africa. David is right on the pulse of currently chasing records, setting two new records in 2020 – the Achill Island solo and the Irish Sea North Channel solo, amazing feats! Recent years saw achievements with the 2019 Achill Island solo, in 2018 the impressive Irish Sea Crossing team in 10hrs 51mins, in 2017 National 5km Time Trial national champion, 1st place in Colwyn Bay Ocean race Wales, and lots more over the years.
