Katie McAnena

Katie McAnena, from Co. Clare, is famous for being a legendary champion windsurfer having won six Irish national windsurfing championship titles, five national stand up paddling surf titles, and notably one of the first women to windsurf the Hawaiian big-wave surf known as ‘Jaws’ which can rise to approximately 18m. She has competed over years with the Irish and British wave series, and tours with the Professional Windsurfing Association. She has competed at many parts of the world including Australia, America, Canary Islands and Hawaii. 

Patrick Murtagh, from Blackrock, Co. Louth is a passionate kite-surfer and photographer of the sport. His images he has captured have featured in many magazines, and he has photographed many leading world champions on various big kitesurfing events. He is the primary photographer working with Pure Magic Watersports, the Kitesurfing school in Ireland. Patrick has plenty of kitesurfing experience around Ireland and abroad, mainly Portugal and yearly snow-kiting in Norway.
